I recently finally (because of reding someone elses post) found where I was getting water in the boat. It's leaking through the rivets under the rub rail and running down the side in a couple of places... The outdrive stuff is more likely and really important to check as it can cause a lot more damage if it's leaking and not handled properly...
amazing how hard you can work to make everything watertight and it still finds a way to get in... [/QUOTE]
man ....water is a weird substance....it gets in any where......im suprised dams dont leak.....
ok.....i/o 6.......put the muffs on it in the drive way.....rev it up to 1500 rpm and stick your head in the doghouse....or just remove the thing and have a really good look.......first examine every hose clamp....then look around the drain plugs/shuttle cocks in the block? under the exauhst mani.....now look farther back....near the transom....look for any water drips
if you find any drips....post back here.....if you dont.....do the same tests on the water at low speed then at plain......(uh....make sure someone else is driving

) be really careful when you do this.....if you hit a wake....you might get pilled into the pullys....so be real careful....real real careful...
then post back with what you saw
