54 and just getting time for what I want to do. Wife left,kids grown,dog died. Now have boats,grandkids and new dog. Life is good! A man's place is on his boat.

I guess I should introduce myself....I am 16 and currently have 3 projects. One of which is a thread, it is the mark twain. I also have 2 others, a 1965 Sthern and a 19?? Ebbtide. They are on the backburner right now becasue the twain is much bigger and I am enjoying it a lot more!
Unfortunately the Twain is not coming along as fast as I would hope....it seems like I get more and more homework everyday. Then, on top of that I am in marching band and work on the farm...oh how there are not enough hours in the day!

WOW well i dont feel so bad any more im 58 retired for medical reasons i had major foot reconstructing after building acccident i was a bricklayer, so now im broke and working on my starcraft its the best boat in the world peter

I clicked 50's, but that won't actually happen until December. I grew up on and around boats my whole life but never bought one until 3 years ago. Now I'm trying to restore her to her former glory. 1982 Galaxy Executive, 19ft.

I love the the comment about feeling like a 21 year old but the wife won't let you, I have the same problem, although not sure I'd survive even if allowed.

well im 40 be 41 in october... there are days when i feel 21 and days when i feel 40 especially bent into positions my back and belly dont allow anymore.... but i am rebuilding an 86 bayliner capri... just got all of the wood work done today! man im so glad the ITCH is over!! ... hehe yes the blue pills work ... and actually the wife brought the project home lol so im screwed either way but i love every minute of it!
