Re: how to change to 1080p 120 Hz on an RCA LED55C55R120Q TV?
Online manual here:

Appears to say it needs to be HDMI or DVI input.
Click "menu" button.
Arrow over to the "setup" box, "select" it.
Arrow down to the "video style" selector.
Arrow left or right to select "video". You can toggle between "video" and "graphic". You want "video".
Hitting the "display" button should show the res. Mine shows 720, as thats what my input is.
It should show the res for that particular broadcast. Also, if the channel has an "a" in front of the channel number, it is an analog channel/source. A "d" in front of the channel number indicated digital.
The other option is "graphic". Appears to be for computer input ?
If I switch it to "graphic", the display shows something like 1280x688, or some similar number.
If you tune to a channel like ESPN, broadcasting a bball game now, They have their logo and graphics on the bottom of the screen.
Toggle back and forth between the "video and graphic" menu options and keep watching the ESPN logo, you can see the image quality change.
