They cry enough about the restrictor plates, don't need to give them something else to boo-hoo about.

Chili & Milk? ;)

Mucso lights running until an unannounced lap and the drivers can't turn their headlights on until the Musco's are cut.

Racing under the lights is always a bit more fun to watch but it would change it for the better if it did not rely on track lights.. For now tho, the solution to that is to watch Lemans racing

How about a track with turns and bends in both directions and few hairpins. A hill or 2 would help.

I think Nascar this year is going to be one wreck after another. With all the carbon fiber they are using now the first time somebody backs into the wall your going to have cut tires everywhere. Either that or long delays to clean the track of all the shards.

I was noting Cup only. Hopefully they'll add Austin some day.

I also heard that at least for the trucks, they are adding a dirt track next season as well. They are going to run on Smoke's track.

Yep, Eldora......... That should be fun........ Hope it aint something stupid like a pay-per-view..........

Wont see it for Nationwide or Cup. At least not in the near future. Didn't they put dirt on Bristol one year? Or, am I thinking of somewhere else? I'm assuming it was for an Outlaw race.....

Not sure and I know it would never happen for a Cup race but short of replacing the pit crews with strippers(GOOD LOOKING STRIPPERS THAT ARE IN GOOD SHAPE, I have to remember the crowd I'm talking to) I'm not sure of any real ideas to make NASCAR better, but then again I don't have any real issues with it the way it is either...

Road courses are about as exciting as parade laps. I'd rather watch 'em slicing, dicing and trading paint at 200+ ... ;)

There are only two tracks with "restrictions to slow them down": Talladega and Daytona. I agree, they need to be flattened out to allow the cars to run. Interestingly enough most experienced fans prefer shorter tracks, and of course they are slower, and that is because they are a lot of fun to watch.

Re: How to make NASCAR more fun to watch

Who knows what the answer is(constantly changing the cars isn't, IMO), because cars spread around the track isn't fun to watch either. I'm starting to like truck racing more and more. Tracks are usually shorter and so are the races. And, everyone is busting their hump to win. Lots of rubbing, bumping and no laying back until the end.

that sounds alot like a morning commute to work!! the speeds are similiar, lotsa paint being traded, etc. i think it would make it quite interesting, and more "real world", if the drivers were required to apply lipstick, blush etc before the end of the race, and have a cell phone , being required to respond to a text msg every 5 mins while drinking a coffee and chomping on a mcmuffin. jmo
