I have a 16 foot 40 hp. It is a outboard engine. But whenever I crank the engine full speed the boats front goes up. How do I keep it straight? Also, I have my engine all the way in the water.
Is it possible that my engine should not be fully in? I press the button until the engine won't go anylower.

e?
Which replies would they be? If you take the thread heading into consideration, he is saying he can't get it to plane.
Depending on what kind of boat that 40 hp is pushing could make a difference as well. I.e. a big pig like a Bayliner Capri. Weight forward motor all the way in until on plane then trim motor up.
With a lot of boat designs he can get into a lot of trouble if he tries to get it to run too flat when wide open.
