Re: I am STUMPED! please HELP!
Well here's where I am at right now...I got the motor running. The only way itll stay running in neutral is if its WOT. And even then it wants to die off after about 15 seconds. As soon as I kick it into forward in the trash can and inscrease the rpms a whisker she purrs like a kitten. Very impressed...So I took it out on the lake today for the first time ever. She SCREAMS on my 14 ft sea nymph. I had a big old smile on my face for the first time in a while. I still know its not perfect yet, but its encouraging my and keeping me motivated to keep on goin with it. My question is, is there an adjustment I can make to increase the max RPM's when its in neutral. I mean I have to shift it into forward after about 10 seconds so she doesnt die...
Also, after I can it for about 20 mins out on the lake, I brought it home and pulled the plugs. They look brand new like they did when they came out of the box...I know this isnt right and it'll burn her up quick. Do I just adjust my needle to the lean side more until I find that the plugs have a nice brown/tanish color to them?
I want to thank everybody on this site that has helped me along the way. There is a very large number of very knowledgable people on here. Thank you much, and sorry about the dumb questions. I just want to learn there smaller two stroke outboards, and it interests me ver much
