I posted here last week, about how I burned the impeller in the water pump by running it in my driveway...well, $400 later to repair the water pump and other small parts, I'm back on the water.
I don't think there's any internal engine damage....at least not yet, it still gets up to speed well, and no milky oil.
BUT,
I'm taking on water.
I found leaks coming from the sea water lines coming up from the water pump in the engine bay, it has 2 rubber sections...I assume for vibration absorption. Those two rubber section are both leaking water, so I have to exercise my bilge pump every so often.
Can anyone hlep me identify those w rubber fitting I need to replace ? part numbers ? It's a 1988, 3.0 GM Mercruiser.
THANKS
