Sooooooo,...
I've been looking for a project and came across a really nice walleye tournament style boat for cheap,...
I haven't bought it yet,....Not sure if I will,..
The problem is the hull,....Or more specifically the damage to the bottom of it,.....
It has an area on the bottom of the port side about 2 foot by b foot where it looks like the previous owner might have hit something on plane,....The outer layer of gel coat is just plane gone,...
The rest appears sort of solid and fixable and the no holes all the way through the hull,....
I'm sort of familiar with the glasser rebuild stuff,...
BUT,....I have never done any real glass work before,....
Barring any serious structural damage to the stringers or transom how big of a job dose that big of a repair seem to be??
Being as there are no breaches of the hull could it be repaired without popping the cap??
Sorry I have no pictures because I haven't decided to do it yet,...
The good news is the trailer is probably worth the asking price alone,...
The even worse news is the outboard and controls have already been stripped,....And it is a wheel boat,...
So between the wheel and the glass I feel dirty like I need a shower,...........
Just thinking someone might have a good idea or two,...
