Ya normally I'm not a big fan of filling a boat with water to see where it leaks out but seems appropriate in this case.you got it backwards. either put water in it while it;s on the trailer and look for it coming out, or launch it totally dry and look for it coming in.
great idea. Now I need to get the neighbors from parked in front of the house. Fill it up and check for leaks. Safer than putting it in the wateryou got it backwards. either put water in it while it;s on the trailer and look for it coming out, or launch it totally dry and look for it coming in.
Last August I bought a brand new Trophy 1802 W/A with O/B. I left it in my backyard all winter and it was covered with snow ,then this spring we had lots of rain storms. All seemed OK.I put it in the marina and it rained heavily over a three week period. When I went to the boat 3 weeks later the cuddy cabin had 6-8 ins of water in it.The bilge pumps had stopped working as the battery was dead from pumping all that water and more rain filled the boat up.I called Trophy and was told that when the hull and deck are put together they cant have anyone in between them and sometimes the drain hoses get pushed to the wrong side of the stringers and water will not drain but run into the cabin.Long story short, as it was still under warranty I was told to take it to a dealer and Trophy paid for all repairs.I tried it out in a small lake when I got it back and all looks good.Next week I will put it back in the marina in Lake Erie and keep my fingers crossed.

I am hoping this is the problem
Not a chance.
Magnetron,
Are you saying you have a 4 cycle outboard engine? 4 cycle engines do not need oil mixed in with the gas, so your statement "4 cycle motor that cant mix oil" is not making sense to me. Oil in with the fuel is only a requirement for 2 cycle engines. Just sayin'...

Do these scuppys look bad
I put half the boat in the water and alot of water drained out the boat. I think I found my problem. Do they look bad?
