Im looking at trading my 17' Sea Ray for this 24' Bayliner below. As you can see it does need some work. With the details below, could you guys tell me about how much I might be looking at to repair what needs fixed, and if you think it would be worth it to even trade. I really want a bigger boat!

"Primarily Looking for a nice fishing boat 17- 19 Ft to trade my 24' Baylner for. If you have something else to trade let me know.

I would keep and fix it but my wife isn't into boating and I don't need a boat this big.

Here's the info about my boat.

It has a canvas top that is in fair shape.
The clear panels are a bit scuffed.
It has a Porta potti, icebox, sink and alcolhol stove.
The engine is a freshwater cooled Chevy with a Volvo 280 outdrive.
I replaced the exhaust manifolds when I did the engine rebuild and I think it has about 100 hours. Need to check the meter.

It has a 1997 EZ-Loader trailer with it. It is an excellent trailer, tows beautifully.

What it needs.
1. Seawater pump installed. I have it and they usually cost about 180.00
2. Bilge blower hoses. Plastic hose are cheap and look like dryer hose. The blower is OK.
3. Outdrive "hold down" hooks. The outdrive sometimes pops up in reverse. Going forward is no problem.
4. It might need some guages since the existing ones have condensation in them.
5. Outdrive lift needs some care. You need to assist the outdrive when lifting it up. The lifting device has a spring pressure and friction assembly that is weak so it doesn't lift the outdrive very well. This is the weak link of the Volvo 280 outdrives.
6. It might need an alternator. These are about $100 locally. It is just a typical GM one wire alternator with the maranizing screens installed.
Beyond that, this a rock solid boat that starts, runs, and goes really well and I think you will enjoy it."
