I rebuilt my carbs yesterday with the help of iboats, Thanks... Truly saved me some bucks which makes the misses happyd
Here is what I found... When I took the silencer plate off it had a bead of silicone around it. I exactly knew what was wrong with it,,,sure enough some silicone had gotten into the carbs. I thought what an idiot... Gas and silicone!!! But anyways. got the carbs cleaned out and intake and spark plugs sprayed with deep creep and let it sit all night. went out this morning left the plugs out and turned the engine over and let it spit the extra out and installed plugs and let it run for 5 minutes and turned it off... waited another 4 hours for compleatly cool down and went and bumped the switch and it started like a new one. Itching to get out on the lake an let it rip...
1 question though... What rpm shoud this motor be idle at? This one idles at about 3500 isnt this a little high?
