Where do you put a walk-around in your exclusive list?
Is everything under a flat closed bow considered a "cuddy"?
The step-in consoles on the 35' center console boats (they have open bows you know) need to get on the list, too. And there are cabins on the rigid hull inflatables that the military, USCG and LEO's use around here, with open bows, some sporting .60 calibres.

I TOTALLY agree with that. One you have poked one with a bow rider you will understand this

Or you can get an open bow hull designed for rough water that stays even drier. Then you don't lose the space, but you stay safe and dry.
Of course, air/water temps play into what is the better choice, too.

Funny you say that..... See a ton of "Dock Queens" where somone buys a boat they can barely afford, for the "Wow Effect" of having a luxurious cruiser. And after dock fees, maintenance just to keep it afloat, insurance and payments, they can't afford fuel. When they do go out, they can't get on plane because of all the hair / growth on the hull from sitting tied up all season and can't afford the haul out to clean the bottom.

Never could figure that one out, myself.

often they were bought cheap, but as you say, consumed the budget, then there was some mechanical issue they couldn't afford to fix, and down hill (or to the bottom) from there. Seems the bigger they are, the cheaper they are to buy, but a big cheap boat is only big once it gets home.

LOL!! I have yet to use the portapotty in my CC. I did sit on it once just to figure out how I would have to bend my body to fit in there. I could have rested my chin on the bow of the boat if the hatch opened the opposite direction. As it was, I could sit there and stare the driver right in the eyes while tending to my "business" lol. I'd need a umbrella if it was raining.

No!!!No!!! Don't get him started on that aspect!!!!
