I have a 5.7L mercruiser 350 motor. It's a fresh water boat that uses the lake water to cool the engine. I would like to install an 11 gallon 110v hot-water heater exchanger. How do I connect the how water exchanger to the to the engine?

Ayuh,....
There's a 1/2" pipe plug in the intake manifold, right near the t-stat housing,...
That's your Hot water tap...
There's also a 1/2" pipe plug in the circulating waterpump,...
That's the return port...

Ayuh,.... There's Nothing Fuzzy with my discription...
If you don't understand, or don't know what parts of the motor are What,...
You need a Mechanic....

You'll need 2, #3s,+ 2, #4s in your picture,...
#2 is unnecessary...

What is this kit actually called. Is there a part number? Does I boats carry it?

Also will this also work for heat like a car heater?

The water heater will come with installation instructions. Make sure you buy one that is designed to use engine heat in addition to shorepower.

You can buy a heater for your boat that uses engine heat to heat the cabin. Check the catalogs.
