Tried grow bags. Worked great by had to water everyday in the summer.

Tried growing in coco with hydro nutrients. That too worked well, but had to mix and pH everyday.

Got old….. last year went back to my 16’ x 12’ plot built with old hemlock, 2 x 10’s
Um depends on your nutrient reserve , I had 2x 250L blue plastic drums that gravity feed thru the media into 2 more at the bottom . When the top ones were nearly empty it turned on a bilge pump in the bottom ones that then pumped back up to the top untill nearly empty. I had the drain in the media tubes so that there was always 1-2" of nutrient in there at all times . Took about 4 hours to cycle vai a ball valve ( use plastic ) that I could open up to speed things up a bit on hot days .

What is the benefit of a raised garden if you still have to bend over and reach down below your knees? Or actually get on your knees.

If you are looking for good barrels, search out the food processing plants.
They have barrels that contained corn starch, soybean oil, corn oil, vinegar, tomato paste, molasses, maple syrup, etc.
