Last summer I put stringers in my 17' runabout hull. 7 ea, 10" high at center. Must second JasonJ in that this is a smelly, sticky job, that comes with a guarantee for backpain. If I were to do it again, i got this idea :<br /><br />Why not fit the new stringers, remove them from boat again, glass them in with two layers of mat on your workbench ( no back pain ). Let it cure, surfacesand them, and glue them in boat, with two 4" bands of mat on each side and resin. Mat and resin bonds better to old resin than wood. Would save a lot of time and back pain for sure. Would it be ok, I' d like to get someone experienced´s oppinion.
