Ladyfish and Mr. Ladyfish have gone inland in their travel trailer and are safe.:)

Can't say the same for their home or LF's business. . .they will probably be wiped off the map.:(

If you have access to supernatural power ask for some help for them. They are really nice people.

I promise not to laugh at any blonde jokes until Mrs Ladyfish is safely back home. Then all bets are off. Goodluck Mr and Mrs Ladyfish

Prayers have been, and will continue to be, sent for the safety of our fellow brothers and sisters in Texas.

I knew they had planed and prepared to leave but had not heard that they actually got out. Although I was sure they did there was still some concern. Thanks for letting us know JB.

It looks like the eye wall is going to go right over their home. :( I can only hope and pray that it will be spared.

Its pretty bad down there right now Rick. My wifes Aunt has a house on the bay side about 1 1/2 miles further west than the Fishes. Early this morning water was already up on the grass. It has a ton more to go. Their main home is at Danbury and they were evacuated from there today. They are at their sons house close to Pasadena and not feeling too safe there. Sure wish I could get them people to come up this way and maybe be safer.

It's sad KB. I've been sitting here watching it on the news and Internet, just kind of shaking my head with a lump in my throat for folks down there. It looks like the eye is going to go over the Fishes house within the next hour or so. I just hope and pray their home will be spared. Reports are that their subdivision had water this morning. :(

At about 11 am there was over 2 foot over water on the entire west end. The Fishes live about 12 miles west of the seawall and got this water. I'll be keeping in touch with the relatives and will give ya'll updates on the island when I can. Yahoo has a pretty good slide show if ya wanna look.

If any of ya hear from there tell them to give me a call on my cell.

Re: Ike report: LF and family are safe.

The eyewall is coming onshore now. We've started feeling really bad winds here as well. The trailer is shaking, power was out for a short time, is back on now. Mr. LF is sleeping right through it. ::) We are halfway between Houston and Austin and feeling the outer edges of it.

My daughter in League City, just called me from her closet. The whole family and their friends are in her closet. Strobe lightening (tornados) in the area and the winds are 75 gusting to 90 right now. They are scared to death.

They called me to check the weather for the since they have been completely without power since 7 last night, they are boarded up and can't see out, all they can do is listen to the horrible sound of hurricane force winds, things hitting the house and noises they know are creating havoc outside.

We are okay for the moment guys. Emotionally, not okay. Worrying about our daughter and grandkiddos is overwhelming. The thought of going back to nothing is devestating, I have been sick to my stomach for two days. I did manage to get all the children and staff out yesterday morning to our evacuation shelter in Austin.

This is by far the hardest thing I've ever gone through. And, we're not alone, so many people have lost so much. I haven't heard any reports of loss of life but 40% of the island did not evacuate.

The toughest part of this has been waiting and wondering. We don't have access to a TV, I'm on my laptop with an aircard which I just got up and running last night.

Thank you for your thoughts everyone, it means bunches to us. Thanks for the call JB. :)

I just want this to end, so we know where to begin again.

In the eye now. What an awesume experience. Absolute dead calm. Nothing can describe the feeling.

I expect the backside to be as strong and twice as long. Plus opposite direction.

We made it thru the front, we can make it thru the back.
