REVOLUTION, REVOLT MEN. It's sad to say but I have seen so many homes where every room in the house is HERS. Like a dog marks her territory. Their men get the basement and the garage. That's it. NATHAN, choose a room in the house that is your room and furnish it the way you want. Take the responsibility of cleaning it yourself or with her. And if its in the basement or garage or attic, then go the nearest vetinarian to get your ***** cut off because she has been trying to do it for years.

No joke, my son just came in looking for one of his older truck toys. He was aking me to help him find it. Should I take him to the dump? :D

The wife is playing dumb "What turck are you talking about sweatheart? I don't remember that one?"

I should rat her out and let him torture her :D I think I have my new strategy!

The man of the house, used to be the "MAN" of the house, and in my house still is. I love my wife, and treat her as a man should treat a "LADY", and most decisions are discussed between the two of us, but When she does wear pants, they do not have zippers, "MEN"S" pants have zippers. I open doors for her, I do not mistreat her, and do not dominate her. "BUT" I am the head of the household, as the "NEW" "LIBERAL" society has not stripped out my backbone. If she wants her way on something, she knows how to get it, and my biggest problem is getting her to spend money on her wants, so I do not feel guilty for some of my purchases. I go out and buy what I want, and she is free to go get what she wants. She would not think of throwing out something that is mine, and likewise the flip side.
This is the way most family's used to operate, and "Oh Well" as it is plain to see in this day and age family life has gone to hell, along with society. :D :D :D :D

Nathan, march right up to your wife and say, "Sweetheart, i'm sorry, I am not worthy to be your husband"! Do not ask me why you should do this, just do it. Then rub her feet.

The magazines are gone, but this might get you a new baitcaster. :D

Nathan-- youse tha ADMIRAL :D get control  . Put her in her place, yea I want to see that. For those of you who haven't met Nathan and his family, Nathan stands about 6ft/225 or better and his wife Michele stands about 5ft 3/130, daughter Amanda is about 3ft tall. Guess who is the boss, thats right Amanda.

Women don't know the value of a good magazine. Their... 'Better Homes and Garden' or whatever trash they read is only good for one quick scan then it's garbage. A man's magazine like 'Easyrider' could bring decades of enjoyment to the whole family. Just explain to her; your stuff is priceless and her stuff is junk. Let me know how you make out :)

I know this thread is meant for the guys but I have to butt in.

Us women are mainly responsible for the care and upkeep of the interior of the house. We get tried of trying to make room where there isn't any and try to keep things as orderly as possible. If you have something thats sacred to you then you have to let us know. I agree that we tend to 'takeover' every room in the house and most of us consider your space the garage, etc. We do that so you keep your mess out of the house. ;)

Personally, I wouldn't have thrown them out. I would have asked where I can put them if I didn't like where they were. Truth is, I'm the packrat in our house and usually its the other way around. I'm the one digging through the trash for my stuff.

Well said LadyFish. Our house is her's and she keeps it that way. HOWEVER ! ! I gots my own house out back and thats where all my sacred stuff is. :) She only ventures in when she is wanting something fixed and she doesn't do that much any more since I gave her her very own fully stocked tool box for Christmas. Been married for 25 years and had given her most everything she wanted and some stuff didn't and she took it back. You would have though it was the Hope Diamond when she opened those tools up. It also keeps her from plundering my tools and misplacing them.

I'll stop leaving my magazines lying around when she stops going out to the garage and borrowing my tools and putting them in the kitchen draw when she's done. And oh yeah! My 4 year old daughter wears the pants in this family. :) :)

Well it would be one thing if they where out in the open, but they where put up in a cabinet. She had to go into the room, open MY cabinet, and take them out. Her reasoning was, I didnt think you needed them anymore. What a crock of BS!!

efhenry - you are without a doubt a real American Man. The epitome, if you will. I can see almost every man in my family in your words :D Living in the city as most of them did, they all lived in the basement. that's where the homemade wine and tools were kept :D

Mellow - You had me rolling on the floor!

Now for a quick story...

An ancient Pharoh was meeting with a King who came to pay his respects to the great Pharoh.

The Pharoh said to the king, "I am the great Pharoh, ruler of the world and I am ruled by my wife. My wife is ruled by our son. Our son is ruled by his dog. Therefore, the dog rules the world" :D

I know that it is often said in jest, but it is a true crime that in this society of today children do run many homes. This is not saying too much for the intelligence of their parents. When I was a Tad, I was not in charge, that was Dad's job, and I as a child was ruled, and did as I was told when I was told with no argument whatsoever, and that was as it should have been, and is the way it still should be today. It would make for a lot safer society, with less spoiled kids used to having their way turning out bad, and making it unsafe to live in many communities. :D :D

I must say at first I could not really relate until you started talking garages and basments etc.

I have a Pole barn, Boatbarn I just finished, a twocar+ garage with heat and a Walkout basment that has two rooms that are Mine to decorate etc.

Then I got to thinking Upstairs the only place i have is half of the top closet shelf, sure glad I got that extra room or a lot of my stuff would proabably be missing also. You can bet she only has to ask once for me to get my stuff out of the Upstairs.

Except for the time she went to take a nap and the kids and i built a fish house in the living room. Sure had a strange look on her face when she had to step around that to get to the couch!
