I'm telling you, it's the aliens. <br /><br />But yes, when I was growing up, it was Dad that ruled the house, and Mom kept us in clean clothes, clean house, and plenty of food. <br /><br />Nowadays, you have to watch what you do as far as discipline goes in fear of going to jail. <br /><br />The old saying holds true with today's kids, "Spare the rod, Spoil the kid"

Treat her with respect, she will treat you the same way! I too open doors, do the chivalry thing, etc. I love her dearly and she knows it and responds in kind. I am in charge of the outside of the house, the garage, the basement workshop, my gun room (if she went in there and saw all the guns and fishing equipment I would probably be in trouble), and the basement bathroom. Those are my domains. She has everything else to keep neat and tidy. There are times that she "asks" to come into my domain to tidy up, and I let her. She knows what is important to me because we communicate. Too much is lost because people don't communicate!

The Wife and I sleep in seperate rooms because she snores the likes of which God has never heard!<br /><br />She knows it's voodoo to enter the 'Man's' room and throw anything away!<br /><br />Besides...I have so much crap laying around, she wouldn't know where to begin!<br /><br />H.

I just say, WOMAN, THIS IS MINE, LEAVE IT BE ... <br /><br />and she does!<br /><br />of course, Ive learned to glue womans day magazines to my Salt Water Sportsman mags, women dont read that shlt, they just want you and their friends to THINK they do, and are trying to be better wives<br /><br />Besides, not only will I deny her trouser snake, but I wont make her pancakes anymore, lol, THATS torture for her (yeah, the damnned pancakes! )

I don't have this problem my wife likes to read my fishing magazines as much as I do. I have also found out that most magazines I used to keep would come out with the same stuff either rewritten or in some other way redone so now I only keep the truly new info in a three ring binder and toss out the rest any magazine that does not get stuff cut out of it gets passed on. Of course this only works if you have a good memory but usualy by the time I have read it twice I have it stored. This process usually takes less than a week per magazine so I don't usualy have old ones hanging around but rather pass them on to coworkers and students.

Learned another trick that helps with the magazines - trying to potty train the littlest girl - she loves to sit on the pot and look at the animals in my fishing and hunting mags. Wife is now "teaching" her the different animals and fish. At 22 months she can usually tell the difference between a moose, elk, and deer. Can also identify many fish and bird species. She who must be obeyed is liking the "educational" magazines now!

Nathan, <br />I got home yesterday and HERSELF had gone through the magazine rack. Yep out went the Bassin and Field and Stream. Lucky I was able to rescue them from the trash can. Bad part was the june 2003 one were in there and I had not red them yet.
