Impeller kit - alpha 1 gen 2 47-43026Q06 or K06?

Going to buy an impeller replacement kit -

I'm trying to figure out correct kit to buy -

I've seen 47-43026Q06 and 47-43026K06

I have a 2002 4.3L with the Alpha 1 Gen II drive.

Not sure of the difference between the two - any recommendations?

The K and the Q are revisions to the same kit. Never seen any differences, figure Merc is doing this to keep track of old stock. I would look for the Q as the new version but both will work.

The Q and the K is the brand of the product.
Q is the quicksilver brand while K is the mercruiser brand.
Q usually comes in a white box with white filter while the mercruiser comes in a black box and filter. They are both the same. Just be sure the top sling seal plastic tool comes in the kit you buy.

Yes Merc has used a few letters such as Q, T, K, M and many part numbers may include one of the following suffixes such as A4, A5, A30, A40, A41, A45, A55 for example.

When Merc started using the "Mercruiser branded" basic maintenance items in I believe it was early 2007 like filters and impellers, the end letter started off using a T but shortly after they switched the basic maintenance items over to an K. But they still use a T on some parts but I don't recall why.

Just a big list of part numbers with most of the letters in it if interested to help get an idea.
