ive been planing to build a mini max for a while but when i went to buy a 15hp i got a way better deal on a running 68 johnson 40hp but it weighs 140lb and for now obvious reasons that wont work so i grabbed a dube went into my shop and looked at my mass of crap then i figered it out my new plan is to mount my sled motor in the front with a straight shaft to the prop move the seat all the way back and have the motor sticking out of the hood but im not shure how all the weight in the front will make it handle in the water the main thing im worried about is nose diving it into waves any advice would be helpfull

OK, I'm gunna be the first and probably the only responder here. All I can say is THIS IS NOT SAFE AND IN NO WAY SHOULD BE ATTEMPTED!

Back in the day there were many small hydroplanes with the engine mounted in front. I would try to find some plans.

May told that to Gar Wood and he went on to powerboating history. 4000 HP in a 32 ft boat!
