it's the same thing as trim tabs on a boat. use to lift the stearn, and stabilize the ride. it's got to help some to get the tail up. but i don't know if it's going to solve the problem totally. may have to get a big dog to ride in the bow.

put your fuel tank in the front, and lean forward to the front when going on plain .... it is normal with any inflatable with tiller motor when driving with one person ..... yes the lifters will work but only to a certain extent ......

i hate those things, but they might help. i'd try the cheapest first. DeeJay Cee is the inflatable man. i think it's going to take a combination, the tiller extension, and the tirm tabs, is my vote.

I'm afraid that the front seat is way to the front to use it with the extender

You could mount a seat between the 2 seats just a simple board screwed or clamped in place. That would give you the whole length to adjust your weight.
It seems a ridged tiller extension would be easier to operate.
Move the tank and anything else up forward and you may be surprised at the improvement.
I think the stabilizer as a second choice. It seems those big tabs would get in the way too easily.

Hmmm... the problem is that seats are hanging in brackets glued on the inflatable tube ...

Re: Inflatable with 9.9 4 stroke problem ...

nice inflatable, but I see your problem .... see pics always helps .... here is your cheapest option and it won't cost you a thing .... move all the weight to the front, fuel tank, gear ... all ..... then set your tilt lock pin on the motor on the highest position as possible, so the tilt is all the way up on the max ...... then what you do is run it and see how it goes, if it is too heigh move it one down, and then carry on like that till you problem is fixed, but from what I can see from your pic your trim is set too low, most definately .......

Deejaycee, wouldn't setting the tilt higher make the problem even worse ?
I will extend the fuel line and move the tank to the front.
Not much weight but every bit helps I guess.

also try different methods of powering up, try it slowly, working up to speed, try it "0" to wot. you should find a happy spot.

I don't see how the placement of the seats would affect installing one between the 2 seats.Just a simple board between the seats fastened at the seats.
It sure does seem that trimming out will make matters worse. But that does bring up a thought. If the motor is trimmed all the way in and still refuses the plane you could buy or make some wedges that when installed on the transom would give you more inward trim.

Re: Inflatable with 9.9 4 stroke problem ...

just try it, but you must gun it at pull-away, then get the right setting by going down till it feels better ...... inflatables don't like an inward trim ...... check here, this is my inflatable in my avatar, trimed 2 from the top ......
and this motor is top heavy ..... puts out 44 kw ......

EDIT: I deleted my movie, don't wanto leave it available too long .....

The first Boat we designed Smart Tabs for was a 10.5 Inflatable with a 9.9 HP Nisson (88Lbs). seven years ago. see Smart tabs under this site or go to www.NauticusInc.com
