ok here we go again, ideas just keeps coming. <br /><br />about the exhaust flappers, when i first started the boat ever, i heard a noise comming from behind the exhaust area,<br /><br />i did not let it stop me from taking the boat for its first run,<br /><br /><br />at that time i was runing a 19 pitch marage prop, its maybe my mind but that first run was so great, the boat runs like a scared ape. i did not try to see the rmp , speed ect, i was just a happy rookie. but as soon as i got back to the dock the noise in the exhaust gets louder, so i took of the manifold to look at the flappers, one was 90% good the one that was making the noise was just barely hanging on in one word it was damage. i try to order the original ones but my marina did not have it , so i replace it with the up grade one sold to me by part-man.com it was total diffrent,<br /><br />it was like a butterfly, shape and it fits kinda too tight , seems it might realy slow down the exhaust exit from the engine.<br /><br />i did have my dought, that why i told my marina to order the original one with the long pin,<br /><br />thanks again, lots of ideas

<br /><br />I went through a whole mirage of tests and though all kinds of parts at my problem......didn't find the problem until I checked each cylinder under load.<br /><br />Good luck!!
