Re: Inline Fuel Filter

Sure, won't hurt anything...I put small lawnmower filters on my small outboards with built-in tanks..

Scaaty, a '56 has a pressurized fuel delivery. Can inline filters take the pressure?

Re: Inline Fuel Filter

If it will take normal fuel pump pressure, it will take the pressure of a pressure tank. Don't know about the el cheapo ones intended for gravity feed lawn mowers.

I have an old 1949 QD-10 that had an inline filter installed. It worked fine until I removed it.

Well. thats a good question. I would really doubt it would be a problem. ...(I thought about the pressure after I posted)....but I have never heard of one coming apart on vibrating, abused by owners, lanwmowers. They have a selection of filters at WalMart..small 1 inch round steel for a few bucks. Next time I replace one of the chespo plastic, I'll stick my compressor on it and crank it till it blows..curious now
