I've got a fresh water '68 or so, 33hp Johnson in storage.
Would it be worth the trouble of rebuilding the carb and getting it running again?
It hasn't had any significant hours put on it for over 12 years, and it is in resonably good shape, no pitting or compression problems.

Thanks for any info, Bobby.

Thanks for the vote of confidence "ob." ;)

Although, isn't the 33 an oddball model? Parts may be hard to find, no?

I don't know if this will help but, boatingsolutions.com lists a carb rebuild kit for 28-35 hp for less than $10. There must be other sites out there with similiar options.
