One of the connections on my fuel sending unit is broke. I can fix it but am hesitant due to fear it might break again and spark and explode (it broke once before and did not explode). It seams hazardous to have a wiper moving across a resistive wire in the top of a fuel tank where all the fumes are. What is the principal that makes it safe?
Is the current thru the sender low enough not to spark in the event of it breaking or a bad connection?
