Re: Is this a clever prank or just vandalism?
There was a local news story recently where person or persons unknown collected assorted outdoor adornments and assembled the menagerie on somebody's lawn on a foggy night. They went so far as to connect all of the lit pieces together, but alas the outdoor receptacle was switched off from inside and they did not light, I'm sure to the dismay of the perpetrators. The homeowner awoke to find his yard blessed with these many decorations, scratched his head in perplexed wonderment, and called the local constabulary. The police collected the items and let it be known far and wide that the wayward items could be picked up at the station and if anybody wished to lodge a complaint, they would follow through. Otherwise they would not pursue the matter. To my knowledge, nobody filed a complaint.
Then there was the tale of the infamous Frosty murders just this week. Somebody has one of those fan-inflated lit Frosty snowmen and on occasion would wake to a sad deflated Frosty. Some vile evildoers would stab the poor snowman til he could no longer hold air. The owner patched it and Frosty came back to life only to be killed again and again. So the homeowner posted a video camera and caught the villains on video tape. The vandals were aprehended and charges are pending. Teens expressing their social anxieties by acting out in a vandalous manner, no. These are adults. Or so their idientifications claim.
