Re: Is this a deck or hull issue ?
Camera is gone for the weekend (with my daughter) But here is a similar picture from another persons build = i edited to show where iam talking about . My boat has 3 stringer , none connect to the transom . The center stringer stops approx 15 inch before the back of transom , the side 2 stop approx 1.5 inch from the transom . The bilge box/ area i removed was glassed to the transom but the wood never butted against the transom . So i'll build a 3 sided box like in this picture . The red area i marked , where the wood box would sit on the hull is where i don't know if i set it in a PB mix or a PL bedding then glass it in or just resin the bottom of the wood and set in in and glass it . I have read about hard spot or something when a stringer without sitting in a bedding or on foam could create a hard spot .... didn't know if the small box would do the same ..
The black lines i added are where my stringer are located . Most builds i look at are 2 stringers down the middle and the box is built between them , or on 3 stringers most seem to have at least middle stringer / keel part touching the bilge box which touches the transom or the 2 stringers on side run to the transom tying them together . So fiqured i want to at least do what needs to be done correctly .
