IS this motor flush safe to use?

I know it would mount below the water pump, and the pump is not self priming. Anyone seen or used this?

It mounts above cavatation plate and force waters to pump from a garden hose. It fits 25-40 2 cylinder engines and I do not use any forced water attachment as it does not give a true indication of impeller condition and adds no backpressure to engine.

the only motor i have that it would fit is a 74' 40hp Johnson. Some duffus axed a slit in the lower unit for earmuffs, lol.

This brings up a question I have always wondered about. On a few occations over the years I have came home from a saltwater trip with a motor that was not running. Does a water hose produce enough pressure to flush an engine without the engine running?

If the thermostat(s) don't open, you don't really get much of a flush.

If the water pump impeller is not rotating (running), the water can't get past it. So, your efforts are in vain.
