i have a 98 chevrolet c1500 4.3 5-speed 2wd and i have been pulling a 16 foot bass tracker. i am going to buy a new 17 1/2 foot nitro on a single axle trailer with a 90 hp motor this week and i am just wondering if i will have any trouble pulling this boat with my truck. i have to pull it about a 100 miles. do you all think i will be ok. thanks

Check your lights, your hitch and make sure the boat is properly tied down and have fun.

I imagine the hardest part will be you looking in the mirror at your new boat

i will be using a ramp that is only about 2 miles from my house, and it is not very steep at all. do you think that my truck will have a hard time pulling this boat outta the water.

as long as you have traction you'll be fine.... some ramps a 2wd can't get itself up but on many you'll be fine.... if you are concerned a buddy with a tow rope can make it mildly embarrassing instead of disastrous

There are two things that can help tremendously if you do have an issue on slippery ramps. 1) Tires with a grippy tread pattern rather than a standard highway tread. You don't need to buy "Super Swampers" with lugs an inch and a half high. Just a little more open tread pattern. 2) Chances are your truck does not have a locking or limited slip differential. If not, head to your local salvage yard and swap the rear end.
