Just thought I would come on the site and let you all know that I might be able to go new afterall. Though it may be a 2008 model,I am looking at a very
good possibility of being able to get a loan for an A-14 Lund w/ 15 HP Yamaha
four stroke electric start outboard and Shorelandr' trailer package for $5,081.00. Though nothing is definite just yet,but my bank tells me that if I put 20% down(about $1,100.00),they could most likely do the loan. They also
say that it can be paid for in two and a half years with a payment of about
$130.00 to $160.00 a month. Now,...just let me say one last thing before you guys come on and start giving me hell about this. I do have a "Plan B' in place should it not work out. I can take that same $1,100.00 that I originally
have to put down and go used if needed. My bank tells me that since I have money to put down on this little package,it looks very favorable and possible.
I know I just said that earlier, but I just want to reinforce that statement. I have sat down with my personal banker to see if this can work in my budget
and we both have discovered that it is VERY doable,...and STILL be able to meet everyday expenses, plus put money into savings. I know our economy
may not be in the best of shape at the present time, but that is NOT going to stop me from enjoying time on the water,be it in a new boat,OR a used boat.
I work in the grocery business(distribution center for Kroger),so people still have to eat and buy toiletry items, plus laundry soap. I feel safe,jobwise,...unless I would do something really stupid to get canned for,
...no plans of doing that, though! Gotta think positive, guys!
