So.... Background, none whatsoever with boats. I bought a Lake house thus this story begins.. Im car hobbyist, my dad is a x- car dirt track racer/mechanic which is where most my experience and training comes from.. We restore classic car in our spare time together. Now apparently we are hitting the learning curve with boats... Boat is a 97 larson bowrider 4.3 gl with cobra sx outdrive. Motor rebuild running great, and everything back together. Then Murphy's law kicks in right when i want to put this thing in water....... The trim was shady before aka worked when it wanted to.. now I get no trim at all up or down... I checked the wires going into the hydraulics some test hot, others test hot when pushing the up trim button and another one is hot pushing the down trim button. This tells me my switch is working correctly? Now where the hick do i go from here to trouble shoot? Oh, also I learned a valuable lesson dont loosen the red button on the hydraulics that has the upside down yellow yield sign with a exclamation point on it. You will get a hydraulic fluid head shot.
Any trouble shooting help would be greatly appreciated.
