Its not winter... but up here, it can start anytime! We've already had a sub-freezing night since I've been back.

Moving to South Carolina in January, so my boating season will start earlier then I'm used to, and that's serving as consolation right now ;)

The cuddy fan is a great idea. I always put oscillating fans there and 1 for the captn on the dash too.

Once you get here (I'm on the NC/SC border) there is no need to winterize if you use her all year as I do. No Mo Sno!

This is cool, I was just ready pages 180-195 yesterday on this sub section and read through the whole thread and was like I wonder what the owners doing now/if he still has it. And now that I saw the thread again I thought I was back in the 19x pages.

Ha, weird coincidence. I haven't posted here in a few years now.

Of course I still have her! I love this boat. I would be lying if I didn't say I've gotten the urge to trade up to a bigger one from time to time, but she's as big as I can fit in my current garage.

My baby, almost same boat.

Nice boat! I love those new Stingrays with the full color hulls or wide stripe options. The 195CX was discontinued in 2013 or 2014 I think, and was never available with anything other then plain white or the narrow stripe like mine has.

What's your top speed. I get 52.5 on the GPS at 4800 rpm. I was thinking of trying a different prop. I use a 23 inch from the factory but was thinking of 24 inch stanless.

I am sure we have the same motor, mines merc and your is Volvo but the motor and hp are the same so the boats should get the same MPH.

Around 48 on GPS if I recall correctly. I am using a 4 blade prop though, and I can't remember the pitch off hand; its either 23 or 21 though... Probably 21. Since I rarely run full throttle I prefer the better low end and around the dock manners of the four blade. I have the factory 23 pitch 3 blade prop as a spare.

Ya, the factory was 23. 48 MPH is nice, they are quick boats. Mine is mostly a lake boat with a little water sports, I have a 19 inch for pulling. As I said a fun boat for sure

not sure if that's sarcasm or not.. I take it as a positive statement.:)

Why would it be sarcasm? Stingrays are built in South Carolina, BCPOLNO23's avatar is the SC flag; my guess is he's just proud of a home state business.

I'm a New Yorker, but since moving to SC, I sure have fallen in love with the place.

Only had a couple of days warm enough for us to get out but I missed them both. Still too cool and a little breezy here in the Lowcountry . Looking forward as always to get back on the water. Lake Murray is nice. Lake Moultrie water level is always too low, too many stumps, not a lot of cool places to hang out, and alligator infested in places. We stick to salt water. My neighbor has your same boat. I have been out with him a few times. Very nice boat, quiet and fast.
