good evening fellas,<br />i'm working on a boat that i recently accuired, 1988 johnson 110, vro is disconnected and plugged off. problem i'm having is that when i accelerate, the engine dies. i would not post this if i did not need some serious help......... compression is perfect, spark is fine, i've replaced all the fuel line, as well as the connector to the engine. carbs are done and cleaned perfect, now here's the deal..... went to the lake, accelerated and boat wanted to die. pushed the key in to activate the selonoide and the boat runs perfect with that fuel dumping into the carb. when i let the key back out, the boat dies. i've had my wife pump the bulb under acceleration and that does not help. the only way this boat will stay runnin is with the key pushed in. is there anything i have overlooked??????? again, all fuel lines are new and fine. i would love any input on this one. thanks, j.w.
