#2: In the schematics it's #20 sealing ring, looks like they used something else like sealant(turquoise colored) part# 418411. I will replace.

Wouldn't be surprised to see RTV of some sort. If you bend the copper pipe the least little bit, it won't fit right. When you take that one off to replace the seal ring, be careful that the ends are disconnected and lift it straight out of the oil cooler end bell. Might want to order a few extra seals as they are used in other locations. Remember that they are square cut and you need to make sure they don't roll in the recess. And you may find at the end of the day, some RTV might just do the trick ;).

#3: Can I use something else to strain water, I thought I saw someone with a glass filter mod.
I know OEM would be better but I searched and can't find anything.

You can certainly use a different type if you want but I'd at least spend a little time trying to get that one to stop leaking. Be aware that sticker shock might influence your decision.

I had similar issues with the copper tubes on my old 120, took some finesse but got them to hold water. I did have to head straight to shore one day when we noticed one of the copper tubes had come out and was filling the boat.

All in all your issues don't sound to bad.

Great info PP40, 2010 was the year of the AQ130 it seemed. Many questions on the 130s. still going in '11, great to see.

That's good to hear that these old motors can still be cranking it out...
I hope I can keep mine running for 2-3 yrs and then sell and buy a family pontoon or a deck boat.
Or keep when I want to fish by myself or with my sons. I will post updates on my repairs next mon or tues.

Thanks for the info/advice.

that looks almost identical to my 275 outdrive.. also, any b23 block will work with that motor setup, its just an automotive block with a marine cam and marine exterior parts... so if you do have a bad motor, you can find those old volvo parts just about anywhere... sweet looking boat btw,... mines almost finished, cant wait to see ya out there~

Regarding the oil cooler leak, if the end bell water pipe fitting is cocked, you can rotate it to line up to be square with the pipe. You can loosen the thru bolt to back the end bell off of the cooler and gently rotate - just be careful of the o-rings at either end of the tube bundle.

And BTW - it's a B20 block.

Since you're there anyway, go ahead and pull the oil cooler apart. It's only three o-rings, you can check for obstructions. Sometimes you have to tweak the tubes to get things to line up.
