#2: In the schematics it's #20 sealing ring, looks like they used something else like sealant(turquoise colored) part# 418411. I will replace.
Wouldn't be surprised to see RTV of some sort. If you bend the copper pipe the least little bit, it won't fit right. When you take that one off to replace the seal ring, be careful that the ends are disconnected and lift it straight out of the oil cooler end bell. Might want to order a few extra seals as they are used in other locations. Remember that they are square cut and you need to make sure they don't roll in the recess. And you may find at the end of the day, some RTV might just do the trick

#3: Can I use something else to strain water, I thought I saw someone with a glass filter mod.
I know OEM would be better but I searched and can't find anything.
You can certainly use a different type if you want but I'd at least spend a little time trying to get that one to stop leaking. Be aware that sticker shock might influence your decision.
