OK, thats a teleflex control. First remove the cables at the engine (unless there is enough slack to pull the control head from the gunwale) next move the control rearward an d remove the front of the box from the hole, then side the box forward and out of the hole, there should be 2 yellow or yellow/red wires going forward out of the box, they are wires for neutral shift switch, if the is enough slack you will not have to disconnect them, probably not I usally cut them and refasten with stake ons DON'T LET THEM SLIP AWAY. Then on the back of the box the cable is held on with a cotter pin and held in place with hinged fastener, Be sure to fasten the broken cable to the new one or a fish tape to help the reinsallation of the new one.
