It's determined by the hydraulic head required by the generators. Havasu only changes less than 5 ft. . . .Kind of weird as I've been hitting Mohave for the past few years and nothing really changes there, lake only fluctuates about 10', not 120'.

I always thought they were fishing "holes" . . . Funny.I always thought the "holes" were referencing the land features, holes in the cliffs, but the map shows them out in the water.
Yeah, I have a couple of really detailed ones and there is a 120' contour I believe that is right where the lake is now . . .Sweet,,, PM coming through...
Red, that hole up on the ridge above the restrooms (or close by) is either Glory or Klein Hole. Don't know which is which, but do remember them.
that hole, sticking out high on the point, crumbled a few years ago. floating restroom is stil there. ive never used it, but its a good reference point.
You can see how long it's been since I've been up thereGlad you mentioned it, I would have been looking all around for it and up in St George by the time I realized I went too far...
I don't think you can infer that the "hole" is a land formation from the placement of the label . . .
Im trying to find a really cool pic of it
Now that makes total sense . . . I think you've got it!!Maybe some old mining claims, kind of sounds like mining lingo, Glory Hole, Kline Hole... Just a SWAG![]()
