I have a 2001 Larson 190LXI 19' Bowrider. 4.3 GL Volvo Penta SX
I Have had the boat for a few years now and have generally liked the prop, the holeshot was great but top speed was lower than i was wanting... i have currently a 14.5 x 19P 3 blade Aluminum solas prop. this past weekend on our annual last trip of the season, i hit a cable on a dock and tore the prop.. it tore a small piece out and it is slightly out of balance now so it seems like a good time to get a good prop.
I can get between 40-45 on a good day with perfect water at about 4200RPM it will rev higher but not really by much..
what kinds of changes can i realistically get for more cruising speed? where should i start on a prop.
Thanks!
