Not sure where you are getting. My friend just purchased a motor with controls and the harness is coming out of the control box by about twelve inches. And the motor he purchased does not have the harness attached to it so what is it? Is it needed? Just looking for a little help.

Your control should have a large long harness about 15' or so long that goes to the motor and a small one that can be hooked up to a tach and it should have a 12 volt + and - wire in it for power to the gauges. A picture of the control and all the wires would help us get you more info.

Thanks Oldman I appreciate it. I just found a diagram after hours of working. It is for the tach. Its weird because I jave a few years newer motor and it doesn't have this cable. But I also don't have a tach
