Hi Gang,
I'm making progress on this thing! 1992 Four Winns Horizon OMC5.0L
I noticed red fluid in the bilge after last outing, after some quick detective work, I noticed the output valve on the P/S reservoir was loose. (now tightened)
Should I be lining that plug with silicone tape?
Is there an O-ring on that connection that I should probably replace? (the connector seems dry now but it hasn't been under load again)
Also:
The belt(s) were very squeaky.. The flywheels are a little rusty too.. is this a major repair to undertake if I decide to take those off and clean em up?
The belt only stopped squeaking after the engine had really warmed up and I had given it quite a bit of throttle.
