since i was boirn in edmonton and was there for the cup runs....and now im in bc and vancouver's not far.......

it will be a toss up for who i go to cheer for......

but our local team is 500 so far....they should have been a lot better...but its early.....

so........

I enjoyed last years hockey playoffs, but hockey is the "redheaded stepchild of sports" in my life until My NY Giants finish this year where they left off last year. They are definitely headed in the right direction so far!!!!!!

yes sir, it certainly is nice to finally get hockey season back up and running. It's certainly going to be a long season regardless of the Wings roster. Of course I'm saying they'll repeat, but the West is much improved overall.

Being from Detroit, football is just to pass the time until hockey starts. Except for following my fantasy scores that is.

Well, guess we'll have to settle for 81-1 now.

Boys looked a little sloppy most of the night. They seemed to lack desperation, Babcock will get the straightened out though. Give TO and Ron Wilson credit though, they played a patient and simple game.

Everyone I hear is picking the Wings again...they are too deep on all lines. They are a very good hockey team as they (unfortunately?) showed the Penguins last spring.
They said, that the guys Detroit cut and sent down to the minors would make pretty much any other team...which says a lot about 'em.
Regardless, its going to be a very high tempo year in the league. There are lots of very good teams and that means lots of very good hockey. Its definetely a faster game.
Just think, Ovechkin, Crosby, Iginla, Datysuk, Lecavalier....don't get me started.
,......going to be great!!

Sadly enough, I have to agree. Great looking team but it early on and anything can happen.
