I'd think through this stringer replacement pretty thoroughly. I'm sure you're more than ready for this project to be over, but there's no sense in shorting it now. The stringer, as you know, is structurally speaking, quite possibly the most important thing in the boat. I'ts probably time to test all the stringers and if there's any moisture in them, pull 'em and replace 'em. I know this is a HUGE job, but it would sure be a waste of effort if you end up with a useless boat because of the sub-structure. Especially after you've done all this work to the engine.
Why not put some pics up and these guys will all the experience can weigh in on what's best to do. Good luck.
