When I hit the horn or turn on my docking lights everything electrical shuts down temporarily and then comes back up. Sometimes its necessary to turn off a few accessories so it seems load related. I think the charging system is working because the battery appears to be charged all the time. Nothing electrical has been added recently and I replaced battery but the problem is still there. One thing to note is about two years ago the volt meter jumped up to 16volts and has been there ever since. It's also a four stroke so I think it's a Yamaha power head.

Ayuh,.... You have a Ground problem, with all the things that don't work, 'n then do...

Somewhere, All those things must share a common Ground...

What Bond-o said. Also clean all the battery connections to begin with. Bright and shiny
