I am trying to correctly rig the boat I recently purchased. I have two aerators installed, neither are currently connected to the live well. The live well has two thru-hull fittings at the top. I don't currently have an overflow installed and I believe I will add an overflow tube connected from the drain plug.
1) The thru-hull fittings are currently installed a few inches from the top of the livewell. Are they o.k this high or should I connect a hose and bring them lower into the livewell?
2) If I leave the fittings there, how effective are the two aerators pumping in water right next to each other? Do I need two Aerators, or should I just cap one of the fittings?
Thanks and I appreciate any insight.
