Live Well Setup - Pics attached

I am trying to correctly rig the boat I recently purchased. I have two aerators installed, neither are currently connected to the live well. The live well has two thru-hull fittings at the top. I don't currently have an overflow installed and I believe I will add an overflow tube connected from the drain plug.

1) The thru-hull fittings are currently installed a few inches from the top of the livewell. Are they o.k this high or should I connect a hose and bring them lower into the livewell?

2) If I leave the fittings there, how effective are the two aerators pumping in water right next to each other? Do I need two Aerators, or should I just cap one of the fittings?

Thanks and I appreciate any insight.

Tom

Neither of the two fittings "A" and "B" in your picture is an areator. I suspect one is simply to fill the tank and the other is the overflow. A standard live well plug would be installed in the drain so a standpipe is not required. If anything, I would replace one of the fittings ("A" or "B" with an actual adjustable aerator head (preferably a bar style with multiple sprays and connect that to the pump. Connect the remainting fitting to one of the through-hull fittings as the overflow. You really don't need two pumps unless one of them was connected to the drain so the livewell could be pumped out rather than drained through the bilge or through a through hull fitting at the stern.

Thanks for the help, so I understand correctly, you suggest that I "connect the remaining fitting to one of the through-hull fittings as an overflow". Do you mean that I should connect fitting A or B depicted in the picture to one of the through-hull fittings exiting the boat?

Thanks,

Tom
