Looking for a good Marine Compass

Hey everyone,

Just recently purchased a new to me boat. It does not have a compass on it and I would like to add one.

Does anyone have a good recommendation? Maybe you have one on the boat and really like it. Just wondering if the $50 dollars units are a waste of money, that type of thing.

It will be placed on top of the dash and I want it to illuminate as well.

Suggest an indirect reading compass. The biggest you can fit on the dash.
