This pic isn't my motor. My rewinder is at a 80 degree angle and wobbles.

Thats going to be a real tough assignment.I would keep watching ebay.
Set up a watching message something like eska outboard or eska 9.9 or both in seperate posts.9.9s are pretty rare. Eska built motors for a number of private labels. Also there is a slim chance the parts fot other brands or perhaps lawnmower powerheads. You might check with a small engine shop.
It sure looks familar to me.

It won't be long before one of those shows up on eBay. There are tons of these engines around, most not running due to problems with the electronic ignition (parts not available, or available at prices that are more than the outboard is worth). Keep looking there.

Also, watch Craig's List in your area, if it's available. I see these motors for saile in the Twin Cities area rather frequently. In fact, I bought one, which promptly developed an ignition problem that I can't fix. I'd sell you the starter, but I want to sell the engine as a unit.

Thanks I've heard of Craig's List but never tried it. I've used Kijiji that where I found the motor. I do a search save on eBay. Thanks.

That pull start sure looks like what you'd find on many Tecumseh powered lawnmowers. Maybe you can modify/retrofit one for your application, unless of course it's a direct fit.

Thanks everyone, I've got my tentacles out into few places now.

Hopefully something will show up, until then luckily I have the puller on top of the powerhead to get the thing going.
