Re: Looking for replacement rub rail for 1964 Starcraft "Cobra"

OK, so here are some pics of the rub rail sample. I really liked the F2109 sample from Barbour, but they said it was not in stock (which irritates me since they were supposed to send samples that were in stock!).
Anyway, these pics are of rub rail F8178. The sample goes into the aluminum channel very easily, and the fit is a little loose. That said, I think it will work OK, especially once a much longer section is installed. Here is the info on availability, pricing and colors from Barbour Plastics:
"We have the following in stock:
F8178 - $1.50/ft
Midnight gray 55 foot coils
Khaki 130 foot coils
Off White 300 foot coils
Black 48, 52 and 55 foot coils
Dark Blue 42 foot coils
F2109 we don't have any stock. The minimum run is 1,000 feet and the price is $1.37/ft"
Hope this helps some of the people looking to replace their old rub rail. I think I will probably just go with black in the F8178.
