Re: Looking for some peice of mind

The next time you take your boat out I'd add X-tra oil to the tank to make the engine run a litttle "wet". When you ran it with out oil very likely you transferred some piston aluminum to the cylinder walls. By running a heavier oil mix it will help wash those metal particulates out when they let loose. I've don'e this a few times on smaller engines that leaned out cuz the carb jet whent out of adjust ment due to vibration. Still using those endgines after a few years. You might get lucky.
If your regular mix is 50:1, mix it 25:1.

Re: Looking for some peice of mind

so i have a mini update. i did not have time to get a comp tester today, but worked with what i had. finger tested comp in all 3 cylinders. 1 and 3 seem to have more that #2. it was kinda tough to tell since i was attempting to turn fly wheel by hand. i was by myself with the the young ones.. cleaned all the plugs, muffed it ans let it run for about 10 min. all the plugs were wet. then i let it run and puled plugs. when #1 was pulled, motor shut off, pulled 2 little diff in idle, pulled 3 and there was a difference. what i did notice was that # 2 plug had little spark as compared to the 2 others. maybe plug wire??
