Re: Lost a fiberglass boat got another tinnie
Well I used #1200 and lightly sanded the whole boat. Nice relaxing work. Did I mention the wife and kid went shopping. Haha, yea I got to spend about 45 minutes by myself, my bro came over so even better. So far so good. Did NOT get to put another coat on.
I have to wait until Friday for that. Minor runs, the paint likes to pool on the under side of rivets the ooze a tad before drying. Note to self, less paint on the roller next coat.
Schedule;
Friday coat #3
Saturday AM wet sand #1500 grit
Saturday later AM, coat #4
Saturday early PM, pick up interior color at Ace
Saturday late PM, wet sand with #2000 grit
Sunday coat #5 (final coat)
I can put a coat of paint on on 1/2 hour
I can wet sand a coat in 1/2 hour
Not as much work as it seems. It's kind of rewarding work too. Each coat covers more and gets prettier. I get a little better at applying the paint with each coat too.
Now it's good night. Zach says he's too tired to say anything to you guys.
